It's very weird indeed, but it's awesome. Quite good for a boss level or something in a game. The flutes are quite spastic :P But the sound cool. Only the flutes and drums and piano sound a bit dry. Try working with some more reverb: put it under the mixpanel and the turn aux 1 a bit up.

Nonetheless good job!

That's actually where the name came from - I want to use it in my RPG for when you take on a foe who is WAY beyond your skill level, or you do something dumb like decide you want to do the final boss fight when you're still using a toothpick for a weapon.

As for the 'verb... thanks. I was thinking about that just the other day, and you're definitely right. I gave it a shot about 20 minutes ago, before coming back here to respond... It's going to take some tweaking - the reverb seems to be overly sensitive on this one.

Not sure what you mean by the mixpanel, I'll take another look. It might not be in my version of Reason (2.5 lol) but I will certainly give that a shot.

Good chord progression. I think it's more trance than dance. Quite good synths. Quite good drums, good melodies. Nice effects... but it misses something like wyldfyre said.

...Ah that's what it is: IT NEEDS SOME BASS. it misses some tones in the lower frequencies.

Not much else to say I guess, but you get a 9/10 and a 5/5

The bass is pitched up, though I am trying to get something done with the lower frequencies, but I doubt I will actually change this part nor it will stand out too much.
As for the genre, I think that this is more closel to be Eurodance, which I believe is more dance-ish than trance.

I don't really like the first synth you used. But your bass and other synths are awesome. Really professional sound, but the first synth which is the main synth just really sounds off. Drums are very good. The drum roll is also a bit strange, lol... And the house organ is cool! :)

I agree with Shenkhar: I think a side chained pad on the background that plays the chords will add a lot to this song, it doesn't really has to be present, but I think it'll help.

9/10, 5/5: it's very good but the main synth makes (in my opinion) it sound strange. Melody is quite catchy though.

ambient quality

I love the ambience. Though I want a "climax" or something. The song is too short and that bugs me. I like the drums a bit louder (but maybe that's more for the climax I'd put in if I were you) But it's very nice, whatever you do! Good luck in that contest.

Very good song! I love the dramatic classical parts and the synths are also pretty nice done! Sinjim, you've done a great job mixing these two genres, so has RenoakRhythm off course!

I like your melodies and your synths are also pretty good. But the reason why I give you a 8 out of 10 is because the drums are in my opinion just ruining your song. I'm sorry to say, but they sound very cheap (the drumrolls are OK though) but the strange breakbeat and quite standard FL samples make it sound cheap. I hate the kick you used the most of all haha

Sorry for the 8, but with better drums it would definitely be a 10/10. You've got a 5/5 from me though ;)

I don't know the real song (sorry), but this version sounds awesome. Quite good but it sounds a bit like something is missing.

I looked up the original version, and I have to say: I like this version a lot more! But I don't really like the artist so... This version is much fuller and it has better synths. Though it's quite repetitve, so I give you 9/10 for that and the (little) emptyness.

What you may miss here are the lyrics. I couldn't found the lyrics acappella, (really iIdidn't really serch them at all XD)

They are very important in the original song, and I reproduced the main melody just like the original, but without lyrics is understandable that someone can find it a bit repetitive (I also find repetitive both, my version and the original one XD)

yes, I enjoy the track!!

I didn't listen to the first version I think, but this version is indeed awesome! The bass drums sound a bit weird at some points, but overall it's really nice. Very dramatic. Good job. Overall sound is very real!
