ahh

lol, this just sounds awesome... Those drums really sound realistic most of the time and the piano is just marvelous... Great work on realism (you still don't have a MIDI-keyboard?)

Ah well, the song seems very strange still very nice to listen to, well, not much else to say I guess,

I was proud of the sound, too, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. And no, I still don't have an MIDI keyboard, unfortunately. =(

Happy to hear from you again, Mjattie. Thanks for the review.

nice

It's nice to hear that stalagmite also has a emotional side and that he can express that pretty well ;) Kinda funny song in parts though, don't know why... It's very soft and happy lol. Well, good job, I hope he'll like it ;)

Stalagmite responds:

thank you mjattie! ;D i am super pleased you could take the time to check out this song :D i really appreciate you popping in! :D and LOL, yeah its sad in bits too. but everyone gets a little sad sometimes :D but we al ways pull through it.... with a C chord lol. =D

this song can be perfect

It would be actually if you'd have a singing woman/girl that would sing a couple of sentences with a lot of breathing XD. Then I'd say you EQ the girl with a lot of high frequencies so that all the s- and f-voices sound very clear. Then add a lot of slow delay (like 8 16th notes) and a lot of reverb and add this at 3:02 (because it sounds a bit empty there) and maybe somewhere at the end.

Still marvellous song you've got here :) I"m actually a bit jealous how you get those nice stabby chords in reason, I tried but failed... You created it by yourself, edited a preset or downloaded a pack or used a preset of reason?

BrokenCrossfader responds:

Ha I would add singing if i actually had a good singer, which I don't at the moment.

Also, all of the instrument patches were created from scratch (I don't like using presets, it takes away the fun of actually making a song). It took a lot of experimenting and tweeking to get the sounds just right (Thanks to the mighty THOR).

Glad you enjoyed the track!

nice

Good work. I love the pads! Great structure and nice percussion. The kick needs some work though... I think it's too dirty for this kind of electronica. You could also use some sidechain or sequence the level of the pad to make it a bit more dancy at the part where there are drums. (not necessary, it's just a thing that I'd do)

Overal great job, 5/5, 9/10, it's slightly on the repetitive side.

nightsurfermusic responds:

Hmm, i think i'll try some side chaining. Thanks man!

It's OK

Quite nice kick, quite nice synth, quite nice snare, but the clap has just too much reverb. The whole song sounds actually if it's played in a church or something.

Oh and the length is a bit weak...

Not bad though, 4/5, 8/10

very nice

Very nice guitar skills. Maybe you could make the sound of the guitar a bit fuller (ad some mid tones (equalizing))

Other than that, awesome!

Spykles responds:

Hey, thanks alot. Guitar sound with line-in is not something I've perfected and will definately consider the mid-range more in future.

Thanks again :)
